Packing Light for Ireland May – September
Pack all the lightweight, quick dry overnight, travel clothes that you will need for a one week vacation in Ireland. Wash clothes in hotel sink, wring out, roll in and out of towel, and hang to dry overnight.
I want to share a well-known travel tip with you. The tip: you can enjoy a one-week vacation in Ireland, or anywhere in the world, without hauling a large, heavy load of packed luggage around with you all week. Most all domestic and international air carriers allow each passenger to bring onboard one piece of carry on luggage and one handbag or laptop shoulder bag. Here’s the secret. Pack lightweight, synthetic material, quick dry overnight, wrinkle free travel clothes that roll up easily in a small amount of space in a legal size carry-on roller suitcase or backpack. While in Ireland, or elsewhere in Europe, you can wash your travel clothes in your room sink or tub, wring thoroughly, roll in towel, and hang to dry overnight once or twice during your week stay.
Here is a suggested packing list for a one week stay in Ireland May through September: 3 trousers, 3 long sleeve shirts, 2 short sleeve shirts, 4 travel undershirts, 4 travel boxer shorts, 4 pairs of quick dry socks, 2 pairs of sturdy walking shoes, 1 cotton sweater or thin stretch polyester full zip jacket, 1 hooded rain jacket, 1 cap, toiletries, electric current converter/adapter, camera.
